6 PROJECT DESIGNS READY FOR APPROVAL

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (January 15, 2016) – Project designs for six computer systems for development and implementation are all set for submission to the City Mayors Office fpr approval by the local chief executive. While the PPMP is still pending for approval, the PR’s and Project Designs are readied by the CITD staff. Purchase Request for IT is assigned to Roger Tura and his team, PR for office supply is handled by Charles Henry Lumba while the Project Design is drafted by Percival Pasuelo, ICT Division Chief.

Project Design titles include the following, to wit:
1. Proposed Employment and Livelihood Information System (LG-ELIS)

An in-house computer business application system for development and implementation using MSSQL Server as database back-end and MS VB.NET Framework for client-end interface tool. It is developed to promote transparency in governance by fast-tracking the processes within the new and renewal of business permits. Technically, it is aimed to streamline the application processes to the operations of the City Treasurer’s Office and other agencies.

2. Proposed Youth Development Information System (LG-YDIS)
   An electronic data retrieval system for development and implementation using a relational database management system (RDBMS) using MS-SQL Server to store the information of General Santos City’s youth and out-of-school youth with MS VB.NET framework as client-end interface tool. This in-house development is aimed to retrieve and generate data in real-time for statistical reports needed by local and national agencies related to youth affairs and development.

3.Proposed Population Management Information System (LG-PMIS)
An automated Windows-based computer application system for development and implementation using Microsoft Visual Basic.NET framework as interface tool for end-users operating under MSSQL Server environment. This automated system is proposed to streamline the data of stakeholders especially those applicants for pre-marriage counseling within the office and those applying off-site in barangays and other locations where “Kasalan Ng Bayan” (KNB) is being sponsored by different organizations.

4. Proposed Social Protection and Services Information System (LG-SPSIS)
   A one-time life-time storage and retrieval system for in-house development and implementation using relational database management system (RDBMS) utilizing the MSSQL Server interoperability with client-end interface tools of Microsoft Visual Basic in dot NET Framework. This full-featured computer system is aimed to build-up once and for all the clients across sectors of society under specific laws mandating the protection and services of all clients across the lifespan as beneficiary.

5. Proposed Business Permits and Licensing System (LG-BPLS)
   An in-house computer business application system for development and implementation using MSSQL Server as database back-end and MS VB.NET Framework for client-end interface tool. It is developed to promote transparency in governance by fast-tracking the processes within the new and renewal of business permits. Technically, it is aimed to streamline the application processes to the operations of the City Treasurer’s Office and other agencies.

6. Proposed Building Permits Management System (LG-BPMS)
   A Windows-based computer application system for development and implementation in 2015 using MS Visual Basic in the new dot net framework class libraries. MSSQL Server will be its database management system for backend. In accordance with the National Building Code of the Philippines, this proposal is aimed to automate the processing of building permits in line with the business permit application for the new or renewal application purposes.
