Updates on ICT related programs, discussed in Philippine-EAGA ICT Cluster meeting The DICT and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), had a Philippine-EAGA ICT Cluster meeting with stakeholders on 02 November 2022 (Face-to-Face mode) from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm at the Grand Summit Hotel, in Barangay Lagao, General Santos City.

Discussed and provided during the meeting were updates regarding ICT-related programs and projects included in the BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025, specifically on the ICT Cluster strategies on a) improvement of digital infrastructure; b) promotion of electronic commerce; c) ICT human resource development; and d) innovation and technopreneurship growth in the subregion, and others.

ASEC. Maria Teresa Camba, the Chair for BIMP-EAGA ICT Cluster and Assistant Secretary for Regional Operations of DICT presided the meeting and provided the needed updates. In addition, the keynote speaker Chief of Party, USAID, Philippines Better Access and Connectivity (BEACON) Mr.John Garrity took part in forum and discussed the advancement of regional capacity for cyber security certification.

The conference was a side event for the 7th MINDANAO ICT Cluster Conference. -FC/MGP
