The City Mayor’s Office - Information and Communications Technology Division (CMO-ICTD) of General Santos City, with its goal of achieving a data-driven and readiness towards the digital transformation and incorporation of SMART city initiatives, Division Chief and IT Officer II Percival Pasuelo, together with Executive Assistant III for ICT Francis Canlas meets with the Dean of Goldenstate College Mr. Elmer Baluyo, to discuss the on-the-job (OJT) training.

Participants of the OJT will come from the Goldensate College. Part of the training will be Capstone project, research, integration, and system development. It will be a year-long training and several output will benefit the students, school, and the Local Government Unit.

Under the leadership of Mayor Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao, one of her thrust is to strengthen the accessibility of the people to the government through digitalization.

The City Government of General Santos together with the engagement of the academe is apparently seen as an enabler to the digital transformation of the city's development.

CMO-ICTD has programs and policies that can support the development under the Pacquiao administration.

Their programs can be integrated in the Infrastructure, Data, and Service Phases of digital development, as well as in the preparation of LGUs in implementing relevant initiatives.
