In compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), the Local Government Unit of General Santos City is in the process of full implementation within the year. In fact, on April 18, 2023, Hon. City Mayor Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao issued a memorandum appointing Francis C. Canlas, Executive Assistant III for IT, as the Data Protection Officer. The privacy manual and the privacy impact assessment are drafted for review and implementation.
