CMO-ICTD DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAM
The CMO-ICTD will be reviving a program for digital literacy based on the 1999-2013 Computer Literacy Program (CLP). “How The SHEEP-CLP Evolved from 1999-2013” is discussed in this link. The main objective of the program is to bridge the digital divide of General Santos City by providing face-to-face training to those who have limited knowledge and skills on how to use a mobile smart phone. Basic Smart Phone Operations will be the foundational short-term course for this activity. Other purposes include awareness and appreciation of how G-Cash works for online buying and selling. The next step is to go back to the assessment phase to know what are the real needs of the citizens who have no opportunity to participate in the digital world. With the success of the Computer Literacy Program, the revival version can follow its prececessor.
